Last night I attended the Boohoo.com SS14 launch party and I must say, we have lots of great pieces to look forward to next summer!
The event took place at One Marylebone, a gorgeous venue just outside Great Portland Street station in central London and there was no way you could miss it! The building was lit up pink and the Boohoo Christmas bus was parked out front in all its glory.
The venue was perfect, two main areas (one for womenswear and one for menswear) where divided by a smaller bar area in the middle. They were serving snack boxes from Leon and little buckets of popcorn as well as a variety of drinks. They had the Instagram printer on site which I took great advantage of (managed to get a print out of this pic http://instagram.com/p/hMAH5OvZXB/ much to my amusement haha) and a live DJ.
My first impression of the womenswear was that pastel is going to be a big thing next year. As soon as you enter the room its like a rainbow of baby pinks and pastel blues, accessories to match any outfit where littered around the room and bold floral prints where everywhere. There's so much colour in the womenswear collections that even I, a girl who's a bit too obsessed with all things black navy and grey considered spicing up my wardrobe with a bit of pink and blue floral!
The Boohoo Boutique collection is definitely one I'll be looking out for in the future. It felt like boohoo's chic older sister had come to town and bought a whole collection with her. More subtle in it's colour palettes but still bold in its shapes and prints, make sure you take a look when it's released next year.
The Boohoo Menswear to me was the highlight of the night. I'm slightly in love with almost everything I saw. I personally love a bit of androgynous fashion so expect to see me in Boohoo menswear next summer! It's dark, it's bold, there's a great variety of fabrics. It's full of prints, blues, greens, greys, navys, it's edgy... basically it's all my favourite things! I honestly wish I took more photos to show you. It's very Shoreditch and I've got a feeling it's going to be very popular when it's released next year. The entire SS14 menswear collection is one to watch.
On the way out we stopped by the Boohoo Christmas bus which was too cute! I'm such a scrooge but even I left feeling the spirit and thanks to Boohoo I even left with a cute Christmas jumper, keep an eye out for future posts to see which one I picked.
Over all I had a lovely time and boohoo did a great job of showcasing their SS14 collections. My favourite piece is this adorable 2 piece set as seen below. This HAS to be part of my summer wardrobe next year!
Big thanks to Boohoo for the invite, I had a lovely time and I hope you all enjoyed my blog!
