Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette Swatches and Tutorial

Hi lovelies! I had the chance to try out the new Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette before it's UK release date and created a cut crease style look over on my Youtube channel. In this blog post I'm going to focus on giving you the details about this palette but if you'd like to watch the tutorial you can view it here.

In all honesty I wasn't really satisfied by the Naked 2 and 3 palettes as I feel they don't suit me or my style but this new Smoky and of course the Naked 1 are a must have! I love a good night out palette and this is what I'd call the Naked Smoky. It's PERFECT for that glam smoky eye look that everyone loves to wear to the club. This palette has everything you'd need to get those sultry night time eyes and thats the reason I love it so much.

As with all Urban Decay eyeshadows these are highly pigmented and very easy to work with. My favourite colours in the palette are High, which is a gorgeous highlight shade, Dagger, which is a lush sparkly grey and Armor. Armor is a glitter packed metallic taupe shade which may have just become my favourite UD eyeshadow shade of all time. Well, my favourite UD eyeshadow will forever be Underground but considering they have discontinued that colour I'm going to let Armor take the crown. Be careful with Armor though, like all glittery shadows it's a bit of a tiny terror to work with and without careful application you will end up with glitter cheeks lol.

This palette retails for £38 just like the other UD palettes and has the BEST packaging of all of them! How can you not love that smoky dream case?! The casing is well made, solid and has a metallic closure. If I designed my own eyeshadow palette the casing would probably be very similar, thats how much I love it! The addition of the double ended brush and the step by step instructions for various looks which is inside the box are the cherry on top of the cake. 

I recommend this palette to party girls like myself because the smoky eye is such a classic look and this palette gives you everything you need and more :)
