Nibbles & Cocktails @ Suda

I am a huge fan of the nibbles and cocktails life. Dance class been cancelled? No worries lets nibbles and cocktails instead. Feeling hungover? Nibbles and cocktails is the cure. Catching up with old friends? Perfect time for nibbles and cocktails! You catch my drift. Any excuse for tiny servings of food and tall cocktails is a good excuse, especially with London finally entering the warmer summer months.

One of the perks of tiny food is that you can order more, which for an indecisive person like me is pure heaven. I like to try a little bit of everything, I also really like Thai food and Suda is the perfect mix of both! Pair their Small Bites and Small Bowls menu (aka the nibbles menu) with their gorgeous cocktails and you've got yourself a perfect nibbles and cocktails location 2 minutes walk from Covent Garden and Leicester Square station.

I've been a few times now with various people and everyone's loved it. They also have a full menu with large main courses, sides and desserts but I'm yet to make it past the nibbles page because I'm still slightly obsessed with trialing all the options. However the main menu food looks delicious! I always have a nosey at what all the diners around me have ordered and I'm yet to see anything I wouldn't want to try myself.

The location (halfway between Covent Garden and Leicester Square underground station) is awesome. Right in the middle of the city making it a perfect location for a pre or post shopping meal, pre theatre meal or even just an easy central location to meet friends. They have a small amount of outdoor seating which is great on sunny days and plenty of indoor space. The interior is your usual Thai chic, dark interiors with semi dimmed lights to set the mood. I also spotted what looks like a wine vending machine in the back! I am yet to try said wine vending machine but when I do I'll be back here to comment. I've popped a picture below, what do you think?! Is it a wine vending machine or am I just reaching here??

The only downfall is that the service isn't great. I've even heard tables around us commenting on it. One time we had to get up and go to the bar 3 times in an effort to get water for our table. Another time we asked what options on the main menu were gluten free only to be given a smaller gluten free mini menu to chose from instead. There are clearly gluten free options on the main menu which sound far more appealing then the mini menu we were given, but the staff had no idea when we asked for clarification and kept fobbing off the mini menu on us rather then making the effort to find another staff member who could help us.

Overall I really like Suda! The cocktails are strong yet still super tasty, the food I've tried so far has been really good and the presentation of both is so instagram. I know this is going to be one of my summer haunts and go to location when I'm catching up with friends in central. I'm already keen to head back just to start trying dishes from the main menu! Until next time, J xx
